Breastmilk kills cancer cells in test tube!

Okay, so this post is too important to wait for me to put it in chronological order.

New research shows an agent in breastmilk that kills over 40 different types of cancer cells. Scientists were studying the antibacterial properties of breastmilk when they discovered that cancer cells were killed in a test tube of breastmilk.

Scientists are only beginning to learn the properties found in breastmilk and its potential for treating adults.

I can't help but wonder if the cases of cancer in children and adults would be reduced if we were a breastfeeding society.

When you start to study not only what's in breastmilk (proteins and virus fighting agents that can't be replicated in a factory) but also what is found in the artifical formula powder manufactured by men (I'll be posting the article about how one of the main substances used in rocket fuel is in the top 16 most popular formulas), you might start to wonder if getting formula instead of breastmilk is causing problems for our children. I'd love to know the percentage of children with leukemia that were breastfed or formula fed (or even a study on ADD or Autism, both of which have been dramatically on the rise since...not just vaccines came out, but since women started substituting breastmilk with formula).

I'm not saying breastmilk is a cure all or can prevent every issue children suffer from, I'm just curious if breastmilk and formula play a part in it and would be very interested to see some studies on the impact, if any.

If nature is smart enough to allow a mother to create immunities to the viruses, bacteria and germs in her environment and pass those antibodies through her breastmilk to her baby, it only makes sense to me that mother's milk also contains things that help protect baby against things like cancer. I guess more research and time will continue to tell just how amazing breastmilk really is!
